Our vision

That every single pupil will leave us with the skills, attributes and academic qualifications to go on to enjoy lives of choice and opportunity.

Our intended outcomes for our pupils aged 18 are that:

  • All pupils educated at Reach Academy will have the choice to attend and graduate from university or pursue their chosen career path with confidence
  • All pupils will develop a range of non-academic skills through a structured curriculum; and
  • All pupils will emerge with a clear vision for their future and a plan to achieve that vision.

Our school

Reach Academy Feltham (RAF) is an all-through, mixed, non-selective, and non-denominational school serving pupils from ages 2 to 18. The school first opened its doors in September 2012, welcoming its inaugural cohort of Year 7 and Reception pupils. An expansion in Autumn 2015 saw the opening of a Nursery, allowing the school to accept pupils as young as two years old.

Our ‘all-through’ approach

Our ‘all-through’ structure is designed to create a sense of belonging and continuity for pupils. This approach allows pupils to remain within the same educational environment from an early age, right through to sixth form. It provides an opportunity to nurture pupils’ strengths and support them in overcoming any weaknesses from an early age. It also mitigates the typical challenges pupils face when transitioning from a smaller primary school to a larger secondary institution.

Our carefully designed environment

We believe that community and strong relationships matter. Our purpose-built design, with each floor of the building being home to ‘Phases’ containing three year groups, means our approach emulates the feel of a smaller school within a larger community, aiding in creating consistency and familiarity as students make the sometimes daunting transition from primary to secondary education. Pupils are able to remain in an environment where they know their teachers and peers, and are truly known by them.

The academy model

Academies are state-funded, independently governed schools designed to cater to local children. Reach Academy Feltham was established by a group of teachers who firmly believe in the potential for greatness in every child. A number of the founding staff members remain involved including Rebecca Cramer, the CEO, and Beck Owen, the former Co-Headteacher (Secondary). More than 50% of the staff body have been at the school for more than 5 years, providing stability for our families.
